Job Description
Data Scientist II responsible for AML/CTF models and analytics solutions at TD. Fostering insights for strategic planning and compliance in Financial Crimes Modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data and use a wide range of data science techniques including data wrangling, profiling and visualization, and statistical inference to uncover actionable insights or build analytics solutions
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) models/AI solutions to comply with regulatory requirements
- Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process/performance improvements
- Collaborate with other partners to develop scalable and sustainable data science solutions that retain long term benefit to the business
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
- 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Proficient with Python or equivalent programming language and SQL
- Experience in Financial Crimes / Compliance Risk Analytics is a plus
- Experience in optimization / testing / tuning of AML/CTF solutions, particularly transaction monitoring systems
- Experience in machine learning model development, validation, and deployment; experience with LLM-based solutions a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and modern data stack tools a plus
