Job Description

DevOps Engineer automating Azure infrastructure, OpenShift deployments, and CI/CD pipelines. Supporting PLATO, Canada’s Indigenous-owned software testing and technology services company.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for Azure environment provisioning and management
  • Build, containerize, and deploy applications to Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO)
  • Manage OpenShift projects, deployments, routes, secrets, container registries, and release pipelines
  • Develop automated deployment solutions for Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and enterprise-system integrations
  • Automate operational, business, and deployment processes
  • Administer Azure cloud services, networking, storage, security, and monitoring capabilities
  • Implement deployment, rollback, release management, and environment promotion processes
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring and logging solutions
  • Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, container platform, automation, and application issues
  • Implement DevSecOps controls, security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements
  • Develop operational documentation, runbooks, deployment guides, and automation standards
  • Work with development, testing, security, and architecture teams on cloud infrastructure and automation solutions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Cloud Engineer
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development
  • Experience building and deploying Spring Boot containerized applications to Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), OpenShift, or Kubernetes platforms
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and enterprise cloud environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Azure CLI
  • Experience with Git, branching strategies, code reviews, and source control management
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Secret or higher security clearance required at time of application
