Job Description

AWS DevOps Engineer designing and modernizing AWS infrastructure for Avahi, a cloud-first consulting company. Automating deployments with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and efficient AWS infrastructure
  • Assist with end-to-end AWS migration initiatives from legacy systems to modernized cloud solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply DevOps best practices, automation strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to deployment strategies for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance
  • Maintain and improve internal processes and workflows for efficient project delivery
  • Ensure streamlined collaboration between development, operations, and other teams
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes and Docker containerization solutions
  • Use GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, and CircleCI to automate software delivery, continuous integration, and deployment
  • Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to infrastructure
  • Stay informed about Data, ML, and AI trends and leverage them to enhance technical solutions
  • Communicate clearly with team members and foster learning and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

  • AWS Professional and specialty certifications are a huge plus
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, and ECS
  • Experience supporting AWS migration and modernization projects
  • Experience in DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, and CircleCI
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and best practices
  • Exposure to Data, Machine Learning, or AI technologies is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
