Job Description

Cloud Engineering Director building ComPsych's cloud-native developer platform for organizational mental health services. Leading DevSecOps, AI governance, reliability, compliance, and platform engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Cloud Engineering function end to end and set its strategy, standards, and direction
  • Build the internal developer portal and self-service platform, including service catalogs, golden paths, paved roads, and developer experience capabilities
  • Own and hands-on build reusable CI/CD pipelines, templates, SDKs, and platform services
  • Build and support the ComPsych DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering strategy
  • Implement secure CI/CD, SAST/DAST/SCA, secrets and image scanning, Infrastructure-as-Code, and policy-as-code guardrails
  • Own the cloud foundation, including landing zones, a Cloud Center of Excellence, reference architectures, SLOs, observability, resilience, and FinOps
  • Enable AI/ML, GenAI, and data safely and at scale through platform environments, pipelines, and guardrails
  • Govern responsible and secure AI, including acceptable-use policies, model/data governance, protection against insecure AI-generated code, and alignment with AI risk frameworks
  • Own compliance and audit-readiness, including continuous compliance, control mapping, automated audit evidence, and third-party/open-source risk
  • Ensure data protection, privacy, encryption, key management, least-privilege access, and data residency by design
  • Lead and grow the function by evolving legacy infrastructure, establishing the team, hiring and reskilling talent, setting standards, and managing vendors, tooling, and budget
  • Partner with the Lead/Architect, team, Security, GRC, engineers, and executives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering with team leadership
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience delivering developer-facing platform capabilities, including an internal developer portal, CI/CD, paved roads, and tooling
  • Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments, including AWS and Azure
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management, including Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with containers and secure CI/CD
  • Experience building and supporting DevSecOps practices, including shift-left security, policy-as-code, secrets, IAM, and RBAC
  • Experience with SRE disciplines, including SLOs, observability, and incident response
  • Experience with FinOps
  • Experience enabling AI/ML and GenAI at the platform layer
  • Knowledge of responsible and secure AI, model and data governance, and protection against insecure AI-generated code
  • Knowledge of AI risk frameworks: NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM Top 10, and ISO 42001
  • Experience with continuous compliance, control mapping, automated audit evidence, and third-party/open-source risk
  • Experience in regulated environments involving HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR
  • Experience with encryption and key management, least-privilege access to PHI/ePHI, privacy-by-design, and multi-region data residency
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS or Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps, or SRE strongly preferred
