Job Description
Director of Global Security for FHI 360 responsible for implementing security policies and managing risk across global operations. Collaborating with leadership on safety and operational continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operational execution of the organization’s global security program.
- Implements established security strategies, policies, and frameworks to support staff safety, travel risk management, and operational continuity across domestic and international locations.
- Coordinates day-to-day security operations, manages incident response activities within defined escalation protocols.
- Provides analysis, recommendations, and operational insights related to security risks to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., security management, criminal justice, international relations), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically requires 8 years of relevant security, risk management, or related experience, including at least 6 years in a people and/or program management role.
- Experience working for international organizations in challenging environments and countries strongly preferred.
- Language skills in French, Spanish, or Portuguese strongly preferred.
