Job Description
Advancement director leading fundraising, grants, marketing, and volunteer engagement for Casa Central, a Chicago nonprofit. Managing donor relationships, CRM systems, events, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Casa Central’s fundraising, marketing, communications, and volunteer engagement efforts
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising, resource development, and engagement strategies
- Develop corporate, foundation, government grant, individual giving, special event, volunteer, and in-kind donation programs
- Oversee donor database and CRM operations, data governance, integrations, analytics, and reporting using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge
- Build and steward relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies, volunteers, and other supporters
- Manage donor portfolios and oversee the Vice President of Advancement and President/CEO fundraising portfolios
- Lead the organization’s Moves Management process, pipeline reviews, prospect research, and donor engagement strategies
- Direct grant prospecting, proposal and report development, grant lifecycle management, compliance, contracts, and grantor relationships
- Oversee marketing, communications, branding, publications, fundraising campaigns, and public relations guidance
- Direct agency special events, including budgeting, contracts, vendors, and event execution
- Lead the volunteer program, Emerging Leaders Auxiliary Board, and corporate volunteer initiatives
- Set fundraising budgets, goals, metrics, and reports to support data-driven decision-making
- Provide strategic guidance and reports to the Board of Directors and Advancement Committee
- Ensure compliance with Illinois charitable trust requirements and applicable IRS donor communication and donation reporting requirements
- Collaborate with Casa Central programs, departments, senior management, the Vice President of Advancement, President/CEO, and Board of Directors
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit resource development and marketing oversight
- Proven success in resource development in the nonprofit sector
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity
- Ability to travel locally with some overnight regional travel
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Valid Driver’s License Class D
- Up-to-date vehicle insurance coverage
- Completed Motor Vehicle Report
- Personal vehicle for business use
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Pro or a comparable CRM system
- Basic mathematical skills for fiscal matters, budgets, and expense reports
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Subject to pre-employment medical, lift, drug and alcohol screening, and aptitude and skills testing where applicable
