Job Description
Field Service Technician installing, repairing, and upgrading Pitney Bowes shipping and mailing technology. Serving clients across an Albany-area territory with substantial travel.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and upgrade Pitney Bowes shipping and mailing equipment, from inserters to lockers
- Support hardware and software solutions
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to reduce client callbacks
- Train clients on Pitney Bowes equipment during installation
- Provide 100% client-facing service as a Pitney Bowes representative
- Cover a multi-zip code territory with significant windshield time
- Use hand tools and small power tools for repairs, maintenance, and installations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Provide service to a variety of clients throughout the client lifecycle and experience
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 55 lbs or more with or without accommodation
- Ability to travel within a multi-zip code territory with up to 80% windshield time
- Ability to bend, squat, stoop, or stand for extended periods of time
- Complete familiarity with a Windows environment and basic knowledge of PC and Networking (Preferred)
- Experience with automated equipment (Preferred)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US; employer will not sponsor employment visas now or in the future
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable repairing or troubleshooting hardware and software solutions
