Job Description
Freelance English-to-Vietnamese translator supporting TransPerfect’s Life Sciences clients. Translating and proofreading pharmacovigilance and clinical documents remotely worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread documents for a variety of clients
- Create and finalize translated content before delivery to the client
- Work under the guidance of a manager and collaborate with Project Managers
- Translate from English into Vietnamese in the Life Sciences sector
- Work on materials related to Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Technical, Clinical Patient-facing, and Clinical Outcome Assessment
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese
- Specialized in Life Science fields
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
- Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Applicants must complete free Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM tests
- A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent degree including significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; OR
- 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; OR
- 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; OR
- A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
