Job Description
Full Stack Software Engineer building scalable frontend and backend applications for GoSpotCheck's Image Recognition platform. Collaborating with Agile teams to improve customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Push the boundaries of GoSpotCheck's Image Recognition platform by building clean, scalable, and maintainable frontend applications and backend services
- Create intuitive user experiences while contributing to robust backend systems and data pipelines
- Collaborate with your Agile team, designers, and product managers to improve the product and customer experience
- Engineer robust frontend interfaces to help customers turn image data into insightful reports via AI data
- Improve service-oriented architecture and modern frontend applications to increase system performance
- Evaluate and implement the latest technologies to achieve the best business solutions
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Broad experience with several languages, frameworks, and programming paradigms
- Experience with backend technologies such as Go/Golang, Postgres, OpenSearch, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and Agile practices
- Solid experience with React fundamentals including Hooks, Context, and component architecture
- Proficient in TypeScript
- Experience with or understanding of event-driven architecture with technologies such as Kafka, Pub Sub, or similar
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture
- Expertise in building and consuming APIs (gRPC and/or RESTful)
- Belief in the benefits of automated testing across the full stack
- Experience with testing frameworks for end-to-end testing
- Ability to rapidly diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly
- Strong sense of empathy for customer experience
- Delivery oriented with understanding of tradeoffs between complete and perfect
- Eagerness and ability to help fix things when they break
- Enjoy collaboration with peers
