Job Description
Veterinarian providing in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets through Heartstrings Pet Hospice. Practicing independently with flexible scheduling across Southwest Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care in pets' homes
- Practice independently on the road
- Conduct a few appointments per day without double-booking or rushing
- Listen to families, explain end-of-life care, and help them say goodbye with dignity
- Collaborate with and receive support from experienced colleagues
- Participate in onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and training
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Choose the 4 weekend days per month that fit your life
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Unassisted and up to 90 lbs with Assistance
- License verification, a background check, and a driving record review before start date
