Job Description
HV Field Service Engineer maintaining Statkraft’s UK switchgear and high-voltage plant. Supporting fault response, maintenance, commissioning and renewable-energy projects across operational sites.
Responsibilities:
- Work on maintenance aspects of electricity switchgear and plant up to and including 400kV
- Investigate system alarms and provide fault response
- Support delivery of projects
- Follow up on execution of planned and corrective maintenance tasks
- Supervise engineering work onsite
- Assess technical requirements for ongoing projects
- Undertake extensive travel within the UK and sometimes abroad
- Work remotely from home or from one of Statkraft’s UK office locations when site attendance is not required
Requirements:
- HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Relevant experience from within the energy sector
- Demonstrable experience of working on the electrical network, ideally dealing with LV and HV plant maintenance
- Previous SAP Authorisation would be advantageous
- A good understanding of O&M works processes
- Have a high standard of HSE awareness
- Knowledgeable in power generation HV networks, electrical testing/analysis, commissioning, and MS Office applications
- Applicants will need the right permit to work in the UK
- Clean driving licence required
- Must be eligible for security clearance and authorisation
