Job Description
Identity Security Specialist securing identity lifecycles, authentication, and IAM controls for Ascension, a nonprofit Catholic healthcare system. Leading modernization, audits, integrations, and Tier 3 support.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and optimize automated end-to-end identity and identity proofing workflows using IGA tooling
- Eliminate manual provisioning and strengthen identity security controls across the enterprise
- Design and implement secure identity proofing and verification flows using SCIM, OAuth2, SAML 2.0, and OIDC
- Serve as the Tier 3 escalation authority for identity data synchronization and orchestration across hybrid environments
- Support integrations involving Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, and Virtual Directory Services
- Develop and execute automated technical audits and compliance monitors for IAM controls
- Ensure continuous alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Drive IAM modernization initiatives as a Subject Matter Expert within an Agile framework
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures
- Mentor junior analysts
Requirements:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
- Deep technical proficiency in SCIM, OAuth2, SAML 2.0, and OIDC
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, and Virtual Directory Services (VDS)
- Experience with IGA tooling and automated identity lifecycle workflows
- Experience developing automated technical audits and compliance monitors for IAM controls
- Experience working within an Agile framework
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures
- Ability to mentor junior analysts
- CISSP, CCSP, or CISA expertise preferred
- SailPoint technical certification is a significant competitive advantage
- Extensive experience in regulated, high-volume healthcare security environments preferred
- Proven success migrating obsolete access control processes to modern, automated identity fabrics preferred
