Job Description

Information Security Analyst protecting ExamWorks’ healthcare-services systems and customer data. Managing vulnerabilities, firewalls, audits, security projects, and customer security support.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer security-related requests involving physical access, firewalls, content filters, email security appliances, spam filters, virus protection, and asset tracking and protection
  • Identify security risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Manage and audit firewall rules
  • Perform IEM log analysis
  • Manage, develop, and maintain threat and vulnerability management initiatives
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, prioritize, evaluate, and escalate IT security issues
  • Provide timely follow-up support and document solutions for the knowledge base
  • Participate in security-related projects and compliance audits
  • Review and update security policies and procedures
  • Promote security awareness and customer trust
  • Collaborate on the planning, design, implementation, documentation, and deployment of security projects, appliances, and applications
  • Serve as subject-matter expert for security tools and applications
  • Create documentation for security tools, applications, and processes
  • Attend vendor meetings and occasionally travel, including to data centers
  • Maintain confidentiality and perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • College degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Five years of experience in IT
  • Two years of experience in IT security
  • Preferred experience with industry audit standards and security frameworks
  • Strong technical knowledge of security concepts, practices, and analysis
  • Knowledge of system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security
  • Minimum Security+, GIAC, EC-Council certification(s), or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel 10–15% of the time, including some international travel
  • Familiarity with Check Point, Palo Alto, or Cisco firewalls
  • Familiarity with Cisco IronPort, Trend Micro antivirus, threat and vulnerability management, two-factor authentication, access control systems, SIEM products, VMware products, asset management and tracking, and SIE
  • Advanced computer troubleshooting, analysis, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn multiple programs and systems
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and use time efficiently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive team-oriented environment
  • Availability for after-hours on-call coverage according to a rotation schedule
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
