Job Description

Internal Auditor conducting audits and compliance assessments for UW Health. Evaluating risk and recommending improvements in financial operations for a healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls and compliance with policies
  • Collaborate with departments to evaluate risk and recommend improvements
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings and recommendations
  • Support external audits and regulatory compliance efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Required
  • Experience in accounting or auditing. Required
  • Two (2) years of experience in audit and controls of a healthcare organization. Preferred
  • Computer programs including database applications, spreadsheet, and word processing with experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Required
  • Certification as an Internal Auditor (CIA), Internal Systems Auditor (CISA), Public Accountant (CPA), or similar designation. Preferred
