Job Description

International Director coordinating member services, delegation teams, employer branding, and global meetings for Relais & Châteaux’s luxury hospitality network. Europe-based with approximately 50% international travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the work of an international team composed of 12 Delegation Directors located throughout the world
  • Coordinate the Member Services team of 26 people
  • Help delegation teams assist members across the Association’s 20 geographic delegations
  • Help deploy services and programs initiated by Headquarters
  • Prepare and implement local action plans decided within each delegation
  • Work closely with local delegates who bring together, engage and represent delegation members
  • Coordinate the Employer Brand team of 2 people
  • Ensure the best use of the Association’s HR tools, including its recruitment website and ATS
  • Promote the network to relevant schools and institutions capable of providing talent to members
  • Plan and organize the Association’s main member meetings throughout the year
  • Organize national or regional delegation meetings and business-specific meetings for chefs, sales teams and human resources teams
  • Ensure the proper execution of member meetings
  • Travel around the world approximately 50% of the year

Requirements:

  • Proven and solid managerial skills leading a team spread across many countries internationally
  • Experience managing experienced and autonomous profiles
  • Experience supporting more junior profiles with strong potential
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with Association members across all countries
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality and restaurant industry
  • Genuine interest in the hospitality and restaurant sector
  • Understanding of the luxury sector of the hospitality and restaurant industry
  • International profile; experience in several different countries is valued
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • One additional language, such as Spanish, German or Italian, would be appreciated
  • Strong desire to travel
