Job Description
Supplier Lead Auditor in the Bristol team supporting Energy sector activities with ISO 9001 compliance. Responsible for planning and executing audits across the global supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver audits in line with the annual risk-based Supplier Audit Programme.
- Define audit scope, criteria and objectives in collaboration with Programme Quality Leads.
- Plan, execute and report supplier audits (on-site and remote).
- Identify and categorise audit findings (Non-Conformances, Observations).
- Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely and effective closure of findings.
- Analyse audit outcomes and contribute to monthly performance dashboards and management reporting.
- Support unplanned audits driven by operational risk reviews.
- Liaise with Supply Chain Assurance, Inspection, Environmental and H&S teams to align audit inputs.
- Provide audit data to support project management review and certification body assessments.
- Promote continuous improvement across the Supplier Audit Programme.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems in high-integrity industries
- Experience delivering risk-based audit programmes
- Ability to plan, conduct and report audits independently
- Strong analytical skills, capable of identifying trends and improvement opportunities
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience managing corrective actions and verifying effectiveness
- Ability to interpret complex contractual and technical requirements
- High level of professional integrity and independence
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality equivalent military experience
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (IRCA or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience auditing complex supply chains in regulated industries
- Willingness to travel internationally and undertake site visits
- Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance (or higher if required).
