Job Description

Lead Consultant responsible for administering and optimizing database performance and efficiency at Allstate. Collaborating with development teams and generating performance reports for database environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain MS SQL Server and MongoDB or Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
  • Implement data backup and recovery strategies
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Work with development teams to design database solutions
  • Generate reports on database performance and availability

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in database administration
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server and MongoDB or Oracle or PostgreSQL
  • Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and replication strategies
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
  • Cloud-based database administration experience with Azure or Amazon AWS
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
