Job Description
Lead Frontend Developer at Virtuozzo leading technical direction for complex web applications with Vue and React. Working in EMEA with remote flexibility for a multicultural team.
Responsibilities:
- Product development according to the five core vectors
- Design, build, and evolve efficient, reliable JavaScript/TypeScript frontend code
- Own frontend architecture and technical decisions for complex, data-heavy UIs
- Extend and adapt existing codebases to support new functionality, browser/OS updates, and performance improvements
- Build and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, including Playwright based E2E testing
- Participate across all levels of development, from detailed implementation to high-level UI and architectural design
- Analyze requirements and deliver robust, maintainable software solutions
- Perform code reviews, debugging, testing, and integration
- Mentor less experienced developers and act as a technical reference point
- Provide expertise in test automation, testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Collaborate closely with Backend, Storage, Product Management, and other Virtuozzo Group teams
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, browser internals, and modern frontend architectures
- Production experience with Vue and React (or deep Vue expertise with prior React experience)
- Experience shipping complex, data-heavy UIs (forms, wizards, async/realtime states, large tables)
- Strong testing discipline: unit/component tests and Playwright E2E
- Experience consuming OpenAPI-generated clients and working with contract-driven APIs
- Experience building cloud infrastructure interfaces and dashboards
- Experience with billing, subscription, or payment-related systems is a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing Webpack and Vite
- Performance awareness (bundling, code-splitting, UX metrics), accessibility basics (WCAG), and secure-by-default practices (OWASP)
- Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines and iterative delivery workflows
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, concurrency)
- Ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and improve development processes
