Job Description

Manager in Corporate Tax responsible for delivering high-quality tax services to clients while mentoring junior staff. Collaborating on tax engagements and providing strategic advice for mid-market clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate tax engagements from planning through execution, ensuring quality and client satisfaction
  • Supervise and mentor junior and senior tax professionals; provide technical guidance and professional development
  • Develop tax strategies and recommendations for mid-market clients across various industries
  • Conduct tax research, analysis, and compliance work; prepare tax returns and advisory documents
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives and tailor tax solutions accordingly
  • Coordinate with alliance partners on complex or specialized tax matters requiring external expertise
  • Travel to client sites and branch offices as needed (approximately 3–4 times annually)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required
  • Minimum 6 years of corporate tax experience
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate tax planning, compliance, and advisory services
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax law; experience with mid-market clients preferred
  • Proficiency with tax software, MS Office, and accounting systems
