Job Description
Manager leading forward-deployed engineers delivering Parloa’s enterprise agentic AI deployments. Driving technical quality, staffing, and customer integrations across strategic projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, hire, coach, and grow a team of forward-deployed engineers
- Set clear expectations and conduct 1:1s, feedback cycles, and performance development
- Allocate engineers across parallel strategic projects and manage load and utilization
- Anticipate delivery bottlenecks and own capacity planning and staffing
- Manage engineering delivery across deployments, including milestones, dependencies, risks, escalations, and stakeholder alignment
- Implement time tracking and reporting for effort, progress, and capacity visibility
- Provide technical leadership, review designs and code, and unblock high-severity production issues
- Build reusable field engineering patterns, playbooks, and standards
- Translate recurring customer needs into productization proposals
- Partner with Product and Core Engineering to reduce one-off solutions
- Collaborate with customer architecture, security, and platform teams to deliver outcomes and build long-term technical trust
Requirements:
- 8+ years in software engineering, systems integration, DevOps, or data engineering roles with meaningful production responsibility
- Proven ability to lead and develop engineers through management, team leadership, coaching, hiring, or performance growth
- Demonstrated success delivering complex technical projects in large enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and constraints
- Strong capabilities across backend engineering, APIs, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and databases
- Ability to review designs and guide production decisions
- Ability to personally own and drive smaller technical workstreams end-to-end
- Ability to debug and implement technical solutions when necessary
- Strong planning, prioritization, capacity planning, and risk management skills
- Customer-facing communication skills with customer engineering teams and senior technical stakeholders
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems is a strong plus, ideally in forward-deployed or solutions engineering environments
- Typescript, NodeJS, OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and MCP experience/knowledge
