Job Description
Healthcare Instructor teaching online Health Information Management and medical coding courses at Bryan University. Supporting student engagement, feedback, records, and academic progress.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct assigned courses within the designated program
- Host bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course
- Maintain a flexible schedule accommodating office hours and 1:1 meetings
- Provide students with timely information and feedback on academic progress for quizzes, tests, homework, and projects
- Conduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk students
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance
- Submit final grades according to university policy
- Participate in meetings, training programs, and professional development as required
- Remain current with developments in the instructional area
- Perform other duties required by the faculty job description, SOPs, and university policies
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Medical Science or related field required
- 3 years of Health Information Management, Coding or Revenue Cycle experience required
- Coding certified required (CCS, CPC, CCS-P or related medical coding certification)
- RHIA or RHIT preferred
- Previous experience teaching online is preferred
- Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously, including MS Office programs, Canvas, and Zoom
