Job Description
Medical Science Liaison advancing Secura Bio’s rare-lymphoma oncology therapies across the Midwest. Building KOL relationships, delivering scientific education, and supporting clinical research initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals across the territory
- Communicate scientific data, research concepts, and educational content about Secura Bio’s products and therapeutic focus
- Set medical priorities, anticipate needs, and drive activities supporting Medical Affairs objectives
- Deliver balanced, scientifically rigorous information about the pipeline and marketed products
- Gather, synthesize, and communicate actionable field insights informing medical strategy, clinical development, and cross-functional decisions
- Serve as a scientific resource during Medical Congresses, Advisory Boards, training programs, mentorship activities, and strategic planning meetings
- Collaborate with Clinical Development and Operations on sponsored research, including site identification, evaluation, recruitment support, investigator engagement, external expert identification, and scientific collaboration management
- Facilitate submission and review of investigator-initiated research proposals
- Maintain investigator communications and support sponsored research activities
- Partner with Market Development Managers and Key Account Managers on scientific education, customer support, and territory planning
- Contribute to regional and national Medical Affairs strategies through territory planning, post-congress insights, and identification of emerging scientific trends
- Adopt digital technologies to enhance scientific exchange, insight capture, and field effectiveness
Requirements:
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD)
- Candidates with MBA/MSc require 5+ years of relevant experience
- BA/BSc candidates require 8+ years of experience
- Clinically licensed professionals (NP, PA, RN) may be considered with substantial oncology or Medical Affairs experience
- Minimum of 3 years in Medical Affairs, field medical, pharmaceutical, or biotech roles
- Strong subject matter expertise in oncology or hematology
- Experience supporting product launches, understanding treatment paradigms, clinical pathways, and emerging research trends
- Background in hematologic malignancies, especially lymphoma, preferred
- Deep understanding of cancer biology, mechanisms of action, and therapeutic modalities relevant to rare lymphomas
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex scientific information to oncologists, researchers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Proven capability to deliver scientific presentations to audiences of varying sizes
- Ability to analyze complex clinical trial data and translate findings into clinically meaningful insights
- Demonstrated experience engaging and building trust with key opinion leaders in oncology
- Understanding of drug development and regulatory pathways
- Knowledge of oncology practice patterns, care delivery models, and healthcare system dynamics
- Ability to identify clinical research opportunities and evaluate investigator potential
- Strong strategic thinking aligned with medical objectives
- Ability to collaborate with clinical development, clinical operations, commercial, and Medical Affairs colleagues
- Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability to evolving scientific data and shifting priorities
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical and biotech compliance guidelines
- Must reside within IL, ND, SD, NE, MO, IA, or WI, with preference for major metropolitan areas in IL, MN, or MO
- Willingness to travel occasionally on weekends
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
