Job Description
Data Scientist at CESAR defining and validating data-driven insights through collaboration. Involved in all project phases from conception to production with a focus on data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Define, analyze, and validate hypotheses and data-driven models
- Work independently and collaboratively with business teams to identify and communicate insights
- Seek knowledge as needed throughout project stages
- Support understanding of business domain problems
- Identify and flag potential risks in project execution
- Collaborate in identifying and communicating insights through data visualizations and presentations
- Work with the engineering team to bring analytical prototypes into production
- Assist in knowledge transfer within teams, collaborating with technical leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Information Technology field
- Knowledge of LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and generative AI libraries such as LangChain and LangGraph
- Proficiency in experimentation and evaluation processes for Machine Learning models (pipeline, holdout, k-fold cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning)
- Knowledge of common ML algorithms such as Linear and Logistic Regression, k-NN, k-Means, Naive Bayes, Decision Trees, Gradient Boosting, Random Forests, SVM, Neural Networks, etc.
- Experience with Python and data science libraries such as Pandas, Seaborn, Plotly, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational and non-relational databases
- Experience with data visualization and/or Business Intelligence tools for exploring and previewing data involving at least two variables
- Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow and EvidentlyAI
- Understanding of large-scale data processing
- Solid foundation in statistical testing and A/B testing
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as SCRUM
