Job Description
Mobile Engineer developing Kaufland’s international online marketplace retail app. Owning features end-to-end across Swift/Kotlin, architecture, testing, release, and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Work across diverse platforms and technologies to deliver high-quality mobile experiences
- Tackle complex challenges and improve existing features with backend and frontend engineers
- Own the full feature lifecycle from concept and design through implementation, testing, release, and monitoring in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Enhance development workflows and application architecture within the Kaufland e-commerce module
- Align with peers on mobile development best practices
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to shape data-driven, hypothesis-based product experiences
- Help scale and strengthen the mobile engineering team and foster learning, quality, and collaboration
- Introduce fresh ideas, innovative solutions, and new technologies to improve the mobile application lifecycle
Requirements:
- Solid experience with core mobile development languages such as Swift and Kotlin
- Strong understanding of modern mobile engineering practices
- Deep understanding of SOLID and DRY principles
- Hands-on experience with MVVM, MVP, and VIPER architecture patterns
- Ability to select the appropriate architecture approach for each project
- Experience building and maintaining projects with modular architecture
- Comfort working with and debugging large, complex codebases
- DevOps mindset with shared responsibility for operating, monitoring, and maintaining software
- Continuous process improvement mindset focused on sustainable solutions
- Strong grasp of TDD/BDD principles
- Commitment to clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to make sound technical decisions
- Experience in an agile development environment such as Scrum or Kanban
- Fluent English at C1 level
- Enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment
