Job Description
Mobile Phlebotomist ensuring proper collection, labeling, and transport of samples for testing in Spokane region. Requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper collection, labeling, storage, and transport of samples for testing
- Follow CLIA guidelines to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained
- Obtain the proper sample (i.e., whole blood, serum, plasma) by performing venipuncture and/or fingerstick
- Label all samples with two unique identifiers
- Maintain proper documentation and identification of samples for transport to the laboratory
- Follow all Universal Precautions and OSHA Standards when handling biological specimens
- Maintain daily tallies of collections performed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certificate (proof of certification required upon hire)
- Computer and technology proficient
- Must maintain a current driver’s license and clean driving record
