Job Description
Travel Mobile Phlebotomist delivering blood draws and preventative care in patients’ homes. Supporting Sprinter Health markets across the United States through frequent travel.
Responsibilities:
- Review the schedule and ensure proper supplies and PPE are available
- Travel to patients’ homes throughout the assigned market
- Provide blood draws, vitals, height and weight measurements, urine collection, Annual Wellness Visit support, and other preventative and diagnostic services
- Use expert phlebotomy skills to make blood draws comfortable
- Create a warm, welcoming, and professional experience in each patient’s home
- Accurately document patient visits using Sprinter technology
- Label, handle, and transport specimens for lab drop-off or shipment
- Navigate unfamiliar cities, neighborhoods, and patient service areas independently
- Manage time, supplies, and schedule while traveling between patients
- Support Sprinter Health’s mission of bringing high-quality care directly into patients’ homes
Requirements:
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with challenging sticks
- Patient-facing healthcare experience as a Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), with in-home experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Availability Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Ability to drive before 7:00 a.m. to arrive at the first scheduled patient on time
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% of the year; the role description also states approximately 90% of the year
- Ability to be away from home for extended periods
- Comfort driving and navigating independently in unfamiliar cities and neighborhoods
- Proficiency using Apple iPhones and iPads
- Ability to meet applicable state-specific certification or licensing requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; heavier lifting may be required for travel assignments
- Ability to spend prolonged periods driving between patient appointments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and carry medical supplies and equipment
- Ability to safely navigate varied patient home environments, including stairs
- Ability to manage the physical demands of frequent travel
