Job Description
News Writer focused on timely cryptocurrency news for Bitcoin.com. Reporting on market developments and expanding organic search visibility for high-intent cryptocurrency keywords.
Responsibilities:
- The Cryptocurrency News Writer will focus exclusively on covering real, timely news across the global digital asset ecosystem.
- Produce up to three news articles per day covering cryptocurrency markets, major industry developments, institutional activity, regulatory shifts, and macroeconomic trends impacting digital assets.
- Coverage will span bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash, and other major crypto-assets.
- Stories may include market-moving announcements, regulatory enforcement actions, ETF developments, corporate treasury strategies, protocol upgrades, ecosystem expansions, macroeconomic catalysts affecting price action, and significant industry partnerships.
- Expand organic search visibility for high-intent cryptocurrency keywords by publishing credible, news-driven content.
Requirements:
- Proven news writing experience
- Demonstrated ability to report accurately and objectively.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency fundamentals
- Comfortable using correct terminology around blockchain networks, transactions, wallets, market capitalization, liquidity, mining, staking, and on-chain activity.
- Market awareness
- Ability to cover platforms and companies objectively
- Daily production reliability
- News judgment and speed
- SEO awareness without SEO abuse
- Strong sourcing and verification skills
- AP Style proficiency
- Non-promotional, neutral tone
- Understanding of regulatory sensitivity
- 2+ years of experience in the crypto industry and 2+ years of professional writing experience.
