Job Description
Remote patient access specialist coordinating referrals, documentation, payments, and intake for Option Care Health’s home infusion services. Supporting seamless patient transitions into care across Pacific and Mountain time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
- Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
- Secure patients’ upfront payment, including assisting patients in finding payment avenues and directing them to financial assistance programs.
- Support ongoing activities to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management, including following up on missing paperwork.
- Assist the Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in related experience required.
- Reside within the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.
- Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
- Ability to work in a fast past environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
- High degree of customer service skills required.
- Ability to trouble shoot, problem solves and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions.
- Previous healthcare/medical billing or Intake experience preferred.
