Job Description
Platform / DevSecOps Lead delivering technical leadership for Air Force IT systems. Overseeing platform architecture and DevSecOps strategy while ensuring secure, automated system delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver senior technical leadership for Air Force IT systems
- Oversee platform architecture, DevSecOps strategy, and lifecycle management
- Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing GitLab or other CI/CD systems
- Support AWS toolsets and maintain multiple CI/CD environments
- Configure CI/CD environments for application performance, security monitoring, and alerting
- Act as a point person with the corporate IT organization
- Lead teams in an Agile/SCRUM software development process
- Mentor engineers on secure coding, deployment patterns, and best practices
Requirements:
- US Citizenship Required
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance
- DoD 8140 intermediate certification or DoD 8570 IAM Level II certifications or higher
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience depending on degree
- 5+ years hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD in enterprise environments
- Demonstrable experience leading technical teams and architecting solutions within an Agile and/or SAFe environment.
- Experience leading or architecting the migration of large, complex systems (preferably Air Force systems) to a DoD-approved cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Oracle Cloud).
- Familiarity with DoD/Air Force cybersecurity mandates (RMF, STIGs).
- Strong background in secure DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and pipeline governance.
