Job Description

Platform / DevSecOps Lead delivering technical leadership for Air Force IT systems. Overseeing platform architecture and DevSecOps strategy while ensuring secure, automated system delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver senior technical leadership for Air Force IT systems
  • Oversee platform architecture, DevSecOps strategy, and lifecycle management
  • Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing GitLab or other CI/CD systems
  • Support AWS toolsets and maintain multiple CI/CD environments
  • Configure CI/CD environments for application performance, security monitoring, and alerting
  • Act as a point person with the corporate IT organization
  • Lead teams in an Agile/SCRUM software development process
  • Mentor engineers on secure coding, deployment patterns, and best practices

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8140 intermediate certification or DoD 8570 IAM Level II certifications or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience depending on degree
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD in enterprise environments
  • Demonstrable experience leading technical teams and architecting solutions within an Agile and/or SAFe environment.
  • Experience leading or architecting the migration of large, complex systems (preferably Air Force systems) to a DoD-approved cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Oracle Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DoD/Air Force cybersecurity mandates (RMF, STIGs).
  • Strong background in secure DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and pipeline governance.
