Job Description
Principal Technical Architect designing agentic AI systems and enterprise architectures for OutSystems’ unified low-code platform. Advising customers and mentoring teams on secure, scalable application delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design, size, and validate scalable, enterprise-grade solution architectures based on business needs and drivers
- Architect agentic systems using Agent Workbench and Agentic Enterprise Orchestration, applying guardrails, agent evaluations, and orchestration patterns
- Translate business requirements into viable, maintainable applications and agents using the OutSystems platform
- Define and review architecture patterns that promote reusability, lifecycle independence, and lower maintenance costs
- Assess existing applications for performance, architecture, and development quality
- Prescribe improvements, including modernization paths for legacy systems
- Identify non-functional requirements, integration needs, and shared standards across application and agent portfolios
- Mentor OutSystems, customer, and partner teams on architecture and development best practices
- Grow the Professional Services team's technical capability through technical practices, reference architectures, and speaking engagements
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor owning solution architecture and setting the quality bar for engagements
Requirements:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of software development experience, including hands-on work in web or mobile application development
- 4 years in architecture or technical leadership roles, with proven application of architecture patterns in enterprise projects
- Strong command of architecture design, project delivery practices, and application performance
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and fix performance bottlenecks
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagements
- Hands-on experience designing AI solutions is strongly preferred, including LLM-based applications, agentic frameworks and protocols such as MCP, RAG, or model orchestration on platforms such as Amazon Bedrock
- Software development experience in .NET, C#, SQL, and modern web technologies are preferred
- Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
- U.S. Citizenship is strictly required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
- Must be willing to submit to a comprehensive federal background investigation (SF-86)
- Continued employment is contingent upon successfully passing the government's clearance process
