Job Description
Private Investigator conducting covert surveillance for DigiStream Investigations, a national private investigation firm. Capturing video evidence and reports for potentially fraudulent workers’ compensation claims.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, follow, and videotape subjects during their day-to-day activities
- Pursue subjects by vehicle and on foot while maintaining cover
- Film subjects in varied locations, including grocery stores, restaurants, sporting events, and casinos
- Craft pre-surveillance strategies based on setup location and case details
- Write detailed reports on observed and captured activities
- Submit video evidence
- Communicate regularly with the team leader regarding setup positions, activity, and tactics
- Conduct investigations involving potentially fraudulent workers' compensation claims
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must currently live in the Sacramento, CA area
- Average availability of 50 hours per week, including commute and drive time
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight on remote assignments as needed
- Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to start work as early as 5:00 am, with occasional evening work
- Ability to pass a DMV check and background check
- Confident driving skills
- Must be able to work a five-day-per-week schedule averaging 10–12 hours per day
- Willingness to conduct covert investigations and travel extensively
