Job Description

Product sourcing specialist turning ideas into launch-ready home and outdoor products for AUGO, a family-owned US e-commerce brand. Finding factories, negotiating costs, managing samples, and preparing Amazon listings.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the process from product idea through launch-ready product
  • Develop detailed product specifications covering materials, colours, comfort, construction, differentiating features, target costs, pricing and shipping dimensions
  • Produce complete, manufacturer-ready spec packs within 1–2 days of approval
  • Search Alibaba, 1688 and other channels for factories
  • Verify supplier capability and capacity and create a shortlist of 5–8 verified suppliers per approved product within 3–5 business days
  • Request and negotiate quotes, calculate landed cost per unit, and confirm MOQ, lead time, payment terms and packaging
  • Follow up with suppliers daily until questions and quotes are resolved
  • Order, track and evaluate samples against specifications
  • Manage revision rounds through written sample approval or rejection
  • Create and manage UPC, SKU, FNSKU and QR codes
  • Own packaging, inserts, warnings, labelling and FBA dimensions
  • Brief creative teams on product images, A+ content and video
  • Maintain supplier comparisons, risk documentation, open questions and recommendations
  • Provide end-of-day reports, weekly scorecards, KPIs and daily updates to the Head of R&D
  • Direct the existing sourcing agent and work directly with factories
  • Help achieve the target of ten new products live every quarter

Requirements:

  • Hands-on product sourcing experience across Alibaba, 1688 or other channels
  • Experience finding factories, engaging suppliers directly, requesting and comparing meaningful quotes, and negotiating MOQ and unit price
  • Experience taking a physical product from idea through to production
  • Experience managing a supplier relationship through at least one full production run
  • E-commerce experience; Amazon private label strongly preferred
  • Amazon Seller Central experience preferred, not required
  • Ability to source efficiently and identify reliable suppliers
  • Amazon listing literacy, including extracting dimensions, materials, construction and packaging details from competitor listings
  • Numeracy with margins, landed cost per unit, freight allocated per unit, CBM, percentages, FBA size tiers and dimensional weight
  • Ability to write clear, appropriately phased product specifications
  • Strong written English for daily reporting and written factory negotiations
  • Reliable computer and internet connection
  • Daily overlap with the Head of R&D
  • Resourcefulness, strong follow-through, attention to cost-impacting details, pipeline ownership and direct communication
