Job Description

Program Manager coordinating provider-network initiatives for CareSource, a healthcare payer. Managing workplans, risks, reporting, vendors, and cross-functional execution across national programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day operations across National Network programs
  • Establish and maintain integrated program workplans across provider network initiatives
  • Facilitate weekly status reviews, risk reviews, and leadership updates
  • Track milestones and drive accountability for deliverables
  • Develop and manage centralized risk and issue logs
  • Identify and communicate risks, blockers, and interdependencies
  • Prepare concise, structured, presentation-ready weekly executive summaries
  • Synthesize program information into progress, risks, mitigation actions, decisions, and milestones
  • Use AI-enabled tools to improve project planning, execution, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communications
  • Build standardized reporting templates
  • Support ELT, VP, and governance forum presentations
  • Coordinate across Network Development & Contracting, Provider Operations, Data/Analytics, and IT/System Configuration
  • Align enterprise teams with market-level execution
  • Clarify roles, responsibilities, and handoffs
  • Lead project teams and coordinate multiple vendors
  • Perform other related duties as requested

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or Computer Science required
  • Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
  • Five (5) years of project management experience required
  • Four (4) years of provider network, development, contracting, and provider lifecycle management experience preferred
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams, and Outlook
  • Experience with project management software
  • Excellent analysis and reporting skills
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, relationship-building, critical listening, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to gain consensus and shape approaches to achieve results
  • Ability to lead a project team of 20+ core members and multiple vendors
  • Ability to manage a multimillion-dollar project
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Deep understanding of project management processes, techniques, tools, and development lifecycle, ideally Agile
  • Strong healthcare payer industry experience and knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare
  • PMP or equivalent certification/training required
  • PgMP preferred
  • General office environment; may sit or stand for extended periods
  • Travel is not typically required
