Job Description
Part-time PMHNP providing remote psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Serving Maryland adults, children, and adolescents through August Rose Health Center’s telehealth program.
Responsibilities:
- Complete psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and ongoing medication management by video
- Treat adults, children, and adolescents for mood, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, serious mental illness, and co-occurring conditions
- Assess risk at every visit and coordinate with the clinical team on crisis needs
- Document in InSync EHR with e-prescribing (EPCS)
- Handle refills and prior authorizations within 2 business days
- Join virtual treatment team and case consultation meetings
- Provide patient-centered care using plain-language explanations, patience, and warmth
Requirements:
- Maryland CRNP-PMH certification
- Active national PMHNP board certification (ANCC or AANP)
- Active Maryland DEA registration
- Active Maryland CDS registration
- Registered with the Maryland PDMP (CRISP), or willing to register before start date
- At least 2 years of psychiatric prescribing experience; new graduates with an identified Maryland mentor will be considered
- Professional liability insurance of $1M per claim / $3M aggregate
- Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Enrolled with Maryland Medicaid, or willing to enroll
- Must hold a Maryland license
- Child and adolescent experience preferred
- Experience in community mental health, Medicaid, or psychiatric rehabilitation settings preferred
- Experience with InSync or a similar EHR preferred
- Bilingual ability, especially Spanish, preferred
