Job Description
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing virtual psychiatric assessments, medication management, and client education. Supporting accessible mental health care through the company’s telehealth practice across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual psychiatric assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate medication management plans for clients
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjusting dosages and treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with licensed therapists and counselors to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients
- Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding medication adherence, potential side effects, and therapeutic interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements
- Exercise autonomy over clinical decisions and use clinical judgment and expertise to determine effective and clinically appropriate approaches for clients
Requirements:
- Candidates applying for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role must have an independent collaborative physician arrangement that allows them to practice autonomously
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization in psychiatric-mental health
- Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and national certification
- Minimum of 2 years of post-certification clinical experience in psychiatric-mental health
- Experience with telehealth platforms and technology for virtual patient consultations
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
