Job Description

Quantitative Analyst researching and back-testing digital-asset investment strategies for 3iQ, an alternative digital asset manager. Supporting portfolio construction, risk analysis, and QMAP investment processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and develop quantitative investment and risk analysis supporting QMAP daily functions, including investment analysis, risk reporting/analysis, portfolio creation, and quantitative modeling
  • Partner with portfolio managers and risk teams to enhance existing and develop new investment analysis and portfolio construction approaches
  • Articulate the rationale for recommendations and communicate findings in an actionable, investment-oriented manner
  • Maintain and improve infrastructure supporting quantitative/qualitative research and investment processes
  • Develop processes and procedures to automate data collection and maintenance, including the performance database
  • Evaluate investment ideas through empirical analysis and back-test strategies
  • Translate research findings into practical portfolio recommendations
  • Partner with technology teams to build and integrate new quantitative capabilities into the investment process

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in relevant financial industry sectors
  • Experience with risk research, quantitative portfolio construction methods, investment management, and portfolio analyses
  • Proven ability to conduct rigorous independent empirical research and present new research ideas
  • Experience with quantitative portfolio and risk tools such as Bloomberg and PMS tools in the crypto space
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including translating complex quantitative analysis into practical investment insights
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel
  • Programming and database skills, including Python, R, SQL, and BI tools
  • Strong technical aptitude and adaptability
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across investment teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with optimization methods and AI-enabled research tools preferred
  • Experience with digital asset trading preferred but not required
  • Graduate degree in a related field strongly preferred
  • CFA is a plus
