Job Description
R&D Technical Architect designing secure and efficient technical architectures for clinical trials at Clario. Enhancing patient outcomes and innovation in healthcare technology.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and design cost-efficient software and/or hardware architecture aligned with higher-level architectural standards
- Define development guidelines and ensure compliance with non-functional requirements (quality, security, modifiability, extensibility)
- Oversee requirements, architecture, software design, and implementation within defined scope
- Document architecture using Clario’s “Views and Beyond Architecture Documentation” methodology
- Validate implementation through regular code reviews and provide technical guidance
- Solve technical challenges across all development lifecycle phases
- Mentor and train R&D staff on technical topics
- Ensure compliance with Solution and Enterprise Architecture standards
- Promote “security-by-design” principles, ensuring data privacy and secure application interfaces
- Support training plans and contribute to R&D process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Cloud certification (e.g., AWS or Azure Architect) is desirable
- 3+ years’ experience in software/hardware architecture and development
- Proficiency in UML 2.1 and experience with Enterprise Architect (Sparx Systems)
- Strong background in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
- Understanding of IaaS, Private Cloud, data-centre infrastructure, and network technologies
- Experience in application migration to Cloud and Domain-Driven Design
- Knowledge of software engineering frameworks, risk management, and security best practices.
