Job Description
Regional Security Manager protecting Saab’s defence and security operations across Southern Africa. Coordinating personnel, risk, compliance, crisis response and regional security strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a robust, proactive and integrated security framework within Saab’s regional business
- Coordinate and align security matters across multiple countries
- Act as senior security advisor to the business
- Protect people, assets, information and operations in a complex and evolving security environment
- Lead and coordinate security personnel in the region
- Independently plan and structure work, set priorities and shape the role’s development
- Coordinate security activities across countries, ensuring consistency while adapting to local conditions and risks
- Manage and coordinate security personnel
- Oversee physical and personnel security
- Manage information security and compliance
- Manage travel security
- Conduct risk management
- Manage incident and crisis management
- Deliver security training and exercises
- Travel regularly within Southern Africa based on business needs and availability
- Support Saab’s operations and business development across Southern Africa and other countries of interest
Requirements:
- Based in South Africa and willing to relocate there for a defined period of three to five years
- University degree in security risk management and/or equivalent professional experience, for example from government authorities
- Several years of experience working with protective security, preferably in an international context
- Experience coordinating security across different countries, functions or organizational units
- Comfortable taking ownership of planning and prioritization
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Must pass security vetting in accordance with current security protection regulations
- Additional citizenship requirements may apply for positions requiring security clearance
- Additional language skills and experience from international or cross-cultural environments are assets
- Experience from the defence industry, government authorities or other complex, security-critical industries is an asset
