Job Description
SAP BDC and Datasphere specialist integrating SAP and Azure data for a homebuilder. Migrating ADF pipelines and delivering Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Configure SAP BDC and Datasphere connections, data flows, and outbound endpoints for existing ADF pipelines
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP Business Data Cloud data integration solutions covering ingestion, transformation, replication, orchestration, and monitoring
- Expose SAP data through OData services, REST APIs, and Open Connectors
- Define and publish SAP CDS Views from S/4HANA into Datasphere
- Set up remote tables, replication flows, and data persistence layers
- Enable delta and CDC for incremental pipelines
- Manage authentication and secure SAP BDC-to-Azure connectivity
- Build and support integrations with S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, and enterprise applications
- Maintain ADF pipelines, monitor performance, troubleshoot failures, and ensure SLA adherence
- Migrate ADF pipelines to native SAP Datasphere data flows and transformation layers
- Build Datasphere analytical datasets and semantic models for Power BI
- Configure and maintain Datasphere-to-Power BI connectivity
- Develop and maintain Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud reports, dashboards, stories, and analytical applications
- Design logical and physical data models for reporting, planning, forecasting, and analytics
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes and transformation logic
- Monitor integrations, pipelines, and reporting environments for reliability and performance
- Troubleshoot data integration, reporting, and analytics issues
- Maintain technical documentation covering architecture, lineage, data flows, models, and reporting specifications
- Provide end-user support, training, and knowledge transfer
- Research SAP analytics and data management technologies and recommend improvements
Requirements:
- 7+ years of SAP data and analytics experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP Business Data Cloud and/or SAP Datasphere
- Experience configuring SAP Datasphere as a data source and building native data flows, transformation views, and analytical datasets
- Ability to expose SAP data via OData services, REST APIs, or Open Connectors
- Experience defining and publishing SAP CDS Views from S/4HANA into Datasphere
- Experience with remote tables, replication flows, and data persistence layers within Datasphere
- Understanding of delta and CDC enablement
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory
- Experience connecting SAP Datasphere to Power BI, including live connection, DirectQuery, and semantic model publishing
- Experience planning or executing data pipeline migrations
- Understanding of SAP data models across FI, CO, SD, MM, and PS
- Strong SQL and data transformation skills within SAP Datasphere and HANA Cloud
- Experience managing secure connectivity between SAP BDC and Azure using OAuth, service principals, and SAP Integration Suite
- Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data integration patterns
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Working proficiency with SAP analytics platforms, cloud data technologies, SQL, and Microsoft Office applications
- SAP certification in Datasphere, Analytics Cloud, or BW/4HANA is a nice-to-have
- Knowledge of Python or SQL scripting, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW/4HANA Open Hub, SAP HANA Cloud, Power BI dataflows, and enterprise-scale report governance is a nice-to-have
