Job Description
SAP TM S/4HANA consultant leading rollout waves for a global manufacturing organisation. Designing fit-gap solutions, integrations, testing, cutover and hypercare across European sites.
Responsibilities:
- Own the SAP TM solution for assigned rollout waves
- Run fit-to-standard sessions with business stakeholders
- Assess local transport practices, carriers, legal requirements and document needs against the global design
- Decide what the global template covers and identify genuine local gaps
- Design solutions without breaking the global standard
- Carry the design through build, testing, cutover and early post-go-live support
- Design SAP TM on S/4HANA for freight planning, carrier selection and tendering, freight order execution, charge calculation and freight settlement
- Manage integration across the S/4HANA logistics chain, including outbound sales orders and deliveries, inbound purchasing flows, warehouse execution and freight costs through finance
- Manage carrier connectivity, EDI or business network onboarding, tracking and carrier status messages
- Produce functional specifications for the build team and collaborate with integration, development and testing leads
- Plan testing and resolve defects through integration and user acceptance testing
- Lead cutover, hypercare and handover to support for each rollout wave
- Feed lessons from each wave back into the global template
Requirements:
- 8 or more years in SAP logistics, with SAP TM on S/4HANA as a core part of it
- At least one TM rollout or global template programme for a manufacturing business
- Personally performed fit-gap analysis and solution design, not only configuration
- Working knowledge of TM integrations with SD, MM, EWM and FI/CO
- Experience running workshops with business users and translating requirements into designs and specifications
- Comfort working remotely across countries in a multi-company programme team
- English language
- SAP Business Network for Logistics or a carrier visibility platform is useful but not essential
- Experience with both embedded and side-by-side TM deployments is useful but not essential
- Automotive, industrial or process manufacturing experience is useful but not essential
- Multimodal, international or dangerous goods transport experience is useful but not essential
- SAP TM certification is useful but not essential
- Consultants must be based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Italy or Czechia
