Job Description
Security Architect responsible for cloud security posture management and infrastructure-as-code security at WEX. Focus on security assessments and collaborating with internal teams to improve security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and tune the organization’s CSPM platforms for continuous visibility into cloud security posture
- Manage and utilize IaC scanning tools within CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct technical design reviews to ensure adherence to security architectures
- Work with DevOps teams to propose code-level fixes for non-compliant templates
- Collaborate with security team members to interpret vulnerability findings
- Conduct regular security health checks on high-risk environments
Requirements:
- Subject Matter Expert in cloud-native security controls across multiple providers AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Deep experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Understand the security nuances of Kubernetes and containerized workloads
- Write comprehensive reports and remediation plans based on CSPM and IaC assessment findings
- Solid progressive experience in information security, cloud engineering, or systems administration
- Hands-on experience with native security controls in multi-account cloud environments
- Some experience with CSPM tools and IaC scanning technologies
- Proficient in reviewing and troubleshooting Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or similar)
- Strong practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate security gates within them
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
