Job Description
Senior AWS Data Engineer developing scalable, reusable data platforms with Python and AWS. Debugging pipelines and delivering solutions for multi-country business environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Data Engineering platforms using the AWS Native stack
- Design and implement generalized, reusable modules using modern Python development practices
- Apply object-oriented programming principles to create maintainable and scalable data processing solutions
- Collaborate within agile development teams to deliver solutions on schedule
- Identify root causes of issues in existing data and suggestion generation pipelines
- Implement fixes by debugging AWS Step Functions, Glue, Athena, and Lambda
- Use modern Python development tools and engineering practices to improve code quality, testing, and deployment efficiency
Requirements:
- Advanced Python programming expertise, including pandas for data manipulation and analysis
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Proficiency with modern Python development tools and best practices
- Experience with AWS Glue for ETL processes
- Experience with Amazon Athena for data querying
- Experience with DynamoDB for NoSQL data storage
- Experience with AWS Step Functions and Lambda for workflow orchestration
- Strong understanding of AWS-based cloud architectures
- Experience with agile software development methodologies and project management tools such as Azure DevOps
- 5–10 years of data engineering experience with global or regional project exposure is nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing
