Job Description
Senior Design Management Consultant supporting architectural, civil, and construction design projects for Turner & Townsend. Coordinating consultants, documentation, and project delivery for client programs.
Responsibilities:
- Support and report to assigned Project Managers or Project Directors
- Interact frequently with the Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors
- Assist Project Managers in managing, coordinating, and administering projects through design and construction phases
- Ensure client services are delivered at the highest level
- Prepare reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout documents, and client presentations
- Maintain project information in project management software
- Coordinate project team meetings
- Communicate conceptual designs
- Create and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction
- Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements
- Review and inform design RFPs
- Manage external design consultants through design and construction
- Communicate design standards to internal and external project partners
- Develop innovative solutions to reduce costs without negatively affecting quality or reliability
- Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities
Requirements:
- College degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
- Experience working in project management on large-scale construction programs
- Experience in Design/Architecture/Civil works
- Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to be highly effective in a client-facing role
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
- Architectural background in the construction industry
- On-site requirements may change based on client needs
