Job Description

Senior Consultant leading engineering design and technical decisions for ENTRUST Solutions Group’s electric and utility infrastructure projects. Guiding complex project teams, standards compliance, training, and quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed engineering design on technical aspects of projects
  • Perform engineering tasks across multiple projects
  • Make authoritative decisions and recommendations affecting engineering discipline design decisions
  • Apply engineering principles and practices across broad project assignments
  • Provide non-managerial technical leadership to engineering design teams
  • Lead design teams on technical issues for medium and large complex projects
  • Advise Project Managers and technical management on process, design, and technology improvements
  • Maintain technical expertise in one or more engineering disciplines
  • Identify training needs and schedule appropriate training programs
  • Maintain contacts with engineers and officials in other organizations to confirm alignment with engineering standards, regulations, and technology
  • Lead training and development of other engineers on engineering design and code compliance
  • Maintain, implement, and monitor quality control systems consistent with ENTRUST policies and procedures
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university required
  • 10 years of related engineering experience required, reducible to 8 years with a Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and energy/utility processes
  • Experience with engineering calculations, power flow, short circuit analysis, and technical documentation
  • Experience managing projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build effective relationships, demonstrate accountability, and deliver on customer commitments
  • Ability to interpret, follow, and recommend improvements to client and company standards, processes, and workflows
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
  • Advanced engineering degree preferred
  • Experience leading project teams and supporting complex utility programs
