Job Description
Senior Data Engineer focused on data processes within GCP at Leega. Involves automation, data ingestion, and management of data workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Support and enhancement of processes in a GCP environment;
- Development in Python;
- Data ingestion with automated pipelines;
- Processing and analysis of large volumes of data;
- Simplification aimed at efficiency driven by customer needs;
- Data- and fact-driven decision making with ownership;
- Continuous, shared learning;
- Create/maintain data flows and datasets;
- Develop/model databases for dashboards and reports;
- Document developed processes;
- Gather and clarify database/variable requirements with the business.
Requirements:
- Experience with customer master data management projects (360-degree customer view);
- Experience with Data Services API architecture;
- Strong knowledge of dbt (Data Build Tool), especially dbt Core;
- dbt experience with Jinja, macros, project structure, and dbt packages/modules;
- Advanced SQL;
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB and similar);
- Practical experience with data modeling;
- Experience in Big Data projects;
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, Dataproc (PySpark), Dataflow, Composer/Airflow, with advanced understanding of architectures;
- Knowledge of Python, Pub/Sub, Monitoring, Logging, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage;
- Experience with Git;
- Minimum proven experience: 5 years (required).
