Job Description
Senior DevOps Engineer managing AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CDN infrastructure. Supporting reliability, security, and potential Akamai-to-Cloudflare migration for a large-scale eCommerce platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design, operate, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting production applications
- Own Kubernetes/EKS environments, deployments, upgrades, and operational troubleshooting
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Manage GitOps deployments, with ArgoCD preferred
- Support production infrastructure, incident response, and operational improvements
- Optimize cloud reliability, security, and cost
- Work closely with engineering teams while independently owning infrastructure decisions
- Design, operate, and troubleshoot CDN environments
- Participate in architecture discussions regarding potential migration from Akamai to Cloudflare
Requirements:
- Senior-level, highly hands-on DevOps experience
- Ability to work independently and own infrastructure decisions with minimal oversight
- Strong AWS experience
- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS environments, deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with GitOps deployments; ArgoCD preferred
- Experience supporting production infrastructure and incident response
- Hands-on experience with Akamai, Cloudflare, or CloudFront highly preferred
- Experience with enterprise CDN platforms, edge security, caching, WAF, TLS, and traffic management is a major advantage
- Comfortable designing, operating, and troubleshooting CDN environments
- Comfortable participating in architecture discussions about CDN migration strategies
- Ideally available full time, 40 hours per week; exceptional candidates may initially start part time
