Job Description
Senior Director Analyst at Gartner shaping procurement technology, digital transformation, and AI insights. Advising enterprise leaders through research, presentations, and client engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged must-have insights content
- Develop actionable thought leadership, analysis, and recommendations addressing client needs
- Identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to advance strategy
- Establish insights positions across a team of analysts
- Research, analyze, and predict procurement technology market trends and shifts
- Advise clients and prospects through virtual and face-to-face interactions
- Create and deliver presentations for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings
- Provide sales support and help Insights teams engage clients on critical priorities
- Conduct timely, high-quality content peer reviews
- Represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy as an industry expert
- Collaborate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions
- Improve research processes and develop new service-delivery processes
- Mentor and coach junior team members
- Cover procurement technologies, vendor evaluation, digital transformation, AI strategy, implementation, change management, and ROI
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
- 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
- Experience leading strategic digital transformation projects in procurement
- Extensive sourcing and procurement technology implementation or administration experience
- Strong familiarity with Coupa, SAP Ariba, GEP, Jaggaer, and Ivalua required
- Experience piloting, implementing, or using AI in procurement required
- Experience developing and deploying an AI strategy for procurement preferred
- Ability to articulate the role procurement and sourcing technology plays in delivering business value
- Perspective on relevant emerging technologies and their impact on procurement
- Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
- Strong organizational, research, writing, analytical, presentation, written, verbal, and communication skills
- Proficiency analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns and frameworks
- Subject matter expertise and comfort presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Deep knowledge of the global and competitive procurement landscape
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global team
- Ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
- Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable
