Job Description
Senior Electronic Security Engineer designing, integrating, and sustaining electronic security systems for Cambridge’s U.S. government defense and security missions. Fully remote with customer-site travel.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer, design, integrate, modernize, and sustain Electronic Security Systems supporting U.S. government missions
- Represent Cambridge in delivering electronic security system engineering products and solutions
- Engineer and design ESS, including PACS/ACS, IDS, VSS/CCTV, command-and-control systems, and supporting data transmission/network infrastructure
- Perform ESS system integration
- Conduct site surveys and system design
- Develop and review engineering drawings and technical packages
- Select equipment and develop Bills of Materials
- Oversee installation
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and Government acceptance
- Support ESS modernization and sustainment
- Apply DoD/Army physical security requirements and cybersecurity/RMF to ESS, OT, and facility-related systems
- Support multiple simultaneous ESS projects in CONUS and OCONUS locations
- Travel to customer sites and program locations, including CONUS and OCONUS locations, as required
- Collaborate with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written communication
- Work primarily from a home office or other approved remote work environment
Requirements:
- Proficient in using computers, engineering/design tools, and technologies relevant to electronic security system engineering
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Electronic Security Systems
- Knowledge of DoD/Army physical security requirements
- Knowledge of cybersecurity/RMF as applied to ESS, OT, or facility-related systems
- Experience supporting system installation, testing, commissioning, Government acceptance, modernization, and sustainment
- Experience with ESS integration, site surveys, engineering drawings, technical packages, equipment selection, and Bill of Materials development
- Knowledge of PACS/ACS, IDS, VSS/CCTV, ESS command-and-control systems, and supporting network infrastructure
- Strong experience in Electronic Security Systems engineering and design
- Current and active DoD Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to complete a background investigation
- Alcohol and drug screening may be required for federal contract compliance
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with team members, customers, and stakeholders verbally and in writing
- Ability to work occasional extended hours, including evenings or weekends
- Ability to travel between work locations, customer sites, and government installations as required
- Periods of prolonged sitting and extended computer and engineering/design software use
- Preferred: U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification
- Preferred: Direct ESS VII or Huntsville ESS-MCX experience
- Preferred: Experience with large federal ESS integrators or multi-site/global ESS programs
- Preferred: Experience supporting DoD electronic security integration programs
- Preferred: Experience supporting Army ESS or Army installation physical security programs
- Preferred: Experience supporting USACE ESS-MCX, Huntsville/CEHNC, ESS VII, ESS VI, or earlier USACE ESS vehicles
