Job Description
Senior Full-Stack Developer at Busbud building scalable solutions for the travel industry. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- design, build, deploy, and maintain complex full-stack features
- own features from technical discovery through production and ongoing optimization
- design scalable solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while promoting best practices
- partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Engineers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- improve application performance, scalability, observability, and production reliability
- mentor other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance
- contribute to both automated and manual testing practices
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- strong expertise building modern web applications across frontend and backend technologies
- strong production experience with Ruby on Rails, API development, and scalable backend architectures
- deep understanding of distributed systems, databases (SQL and NoSQL), performance optimization, and software architecture principles
- experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control, and building reliable production systems
- proactive mindset with excellent communication skills, strong product thinking, and the ability to work autonomously in cross-functional teams
- experience supporting and mentoring other engineers while contributing to technical decision-making and engineering culture
