Job Description
Senior Manager leading strategic sourcing for Edged’s data center infrastructure categories. Securing capacity, negotiating global supplier agreements, and optimizing cost, quality, and supply-chain resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for high-spend Power, Cooling, and Modular Solutions categories
- Identify opportunities for global frame agreements and volume leverage
- Lead strategic supplier partnerships and manage executive-level relationships
- Lead QBRs and drive continuous improvement in quality, sustainability, and cost
- Manage complex contract negotiations from RFP drafting and bid leveling through MSA execution and risk mitigation
- Identify and vet second-source opportunities to reduce supply-chain risk
- Monitor market trends, geopolitical shifts, and commodity fluctuations
- Own $/MW performance and lead value-engineering efforts with Engineering and Construction to reduce total cost of ownership
- Provide market intelligence and cost predictability for capital raises and portfolio planning
- Advise internal and external executive stakeholders on sourcing and commercial strategy
Requirements:
- 8–10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Global Supply Management, or Category Management
- Specific experience in the Data Center or Energy industries is highly preferred
- Proven track record leading complex negotiations with global Tier-1 industrial suppliers
- Ability to create leverage in a seller’s market
- Ability to use data to drive decisions, from detailed Should-Cost models to executive-level summaries
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field
- MBA or JD is a significant advantage
- Technical curiosity
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders internally and externally
- Understanding of supply chain as a competitive advantage for a data center platform
